In May 2009 I traveled to Malawi, Africa to work with the National Museums of Malawi to deliver educational  outreach programs on HIV/AIDS and malaria prevention to students and adults in rural villages. We also deliverd a district wide professional development program on the expressive arts to teachers. The Museums of Malawi practice a new movement in museology called Museums of Consciences.

 "Museum Educators need to do more than challenge their visitors, they need to challenge themselves, examine their practice and reflect on the extent that it matches both in process and in content - the theory they expose".
